Safari is labeled as a foliar spray or a drench. Highly systemic drench is taken up into even older woody foliage. Insects controlled include aphids (drench only), fungus gnat larvae, leafminers, mealybugs, scale, thrips (suppression only) and whiteflies. Drench applications remain effective for 6 weeks or more. Labeled sites include ornamentals grown in greenhouses, and outdoor nurseries. Certain vegetable transplants can be treated by foliar spray only.
Spray rates: at 1/4-1/2 tsp per gal or 4-8 oz per 100 gal.
Drench rates: 12-24 oz per 100 gal with 4 oz per 6" pot being applied.
