Growers use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) regularly to prevent and control pests
and diseases in their growing operations, applying a variety of tools, both preventative
and reactive. IPM is key to reducing large onsets of any pest that could result in crop loss.
In horticulture, waterborne pathogens and fungi that cause diseases such as Fusarium,
Pythium and Phytophthora are especially critical to prevent.
