Nursery Specialist Outside Sales Representative

We are looking to fill an Outside Sales position focusing primarily on nursery stock and products in the New England Area

ACCOUNTABILITIES
•    Maintain and maximize sales in the assigned territory
•    Analyze markets and develop/implement marketing plans
•    Develop sales forecasts and sales action plans
•    Increase sales of existing customer base
•    Identify, recruit and develop new customers with emphasis on customers with high sales potential
•    Increase sales of proprietary products
•    Effectively manage product allocations
•    Manage product sales to meet and exceed gross margin contribution goals

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Critical Knowledge:
•    BS in Horticulture or an equivalent combination of education/experience
•    Excellent product knowledge

Critical Skills:
•    Demonstrated sales skills
•    Negotiation and strong closing skills
•    Good interpersonal skills
•    Excellent skills in the areas of verbal and written communications, presentations and computer

Critical Experience:
•    Three to five years related experience preferably in the horticultural industry
